Maddox Schmidlkofer

Hi! I'm Maddox. I've been coding for about 5 years now and it has always enticed me. I want to work on something that will benefit me outside of work. That's why I'm pursuing computer science at Purdue - while working you can learn things to go back and make personal projects.

I've always found it fun working on personal projects, like my first project, making a rust script that combatted recoil. It was so fun seeing my script work, and seeing my friends use it made it even better.

I don't want to work for someone else on something I don't care about. I want to do something great.

Besides coding, I enjoy mountain biking 🚵‍♂️, shooting 🎯, the outdoors 🌲, soccer 🥅, and hiking with my girlfriend 🥾❤️.

20 Year Old Purdue Student Sells Viral Gaming Startup to Global Giant

Panorama from a pine-covered ridge looking down over a mountain town in a wide green valley, with hazy blue peaks stacked to the horizon.

Film photo of a hiker in a wide-brimmed sun hat grinning on a trail below red sandstone canyon walls dotted with juniper.

A blue fat-tire mountain bike propped against a fallen log on a leaf-covered singletrack trail in an early-spring hardwood forest.

The Purdue University bell tower lit up at dusk at the end of a rain-slicked campus street, with a long row of parked bikes in the foreground.

An abandoned railway line disappearing into a tunnel of overgrown green foliage, the rails and ties nearly swallowed by grass.

The same blue fat-tire bike at night on a snow-covered Purdue campus walkway, its tire tracks curving away through fresh powder.

A home desk setup: an ultrawide monitor showing an Armbian login banner for an Orange Pi 5 Plus, the single-board computer itself wired up on a Purdue desk mat, and a MacBook open beside it.

A bundled-up hiker holding a giant icicle horizontally like a spear, in front of a sandstone canyon wall hung with frozen waterfalls.

Maddox Schmidlkofer and his girlfriend standing together on a stone trail shelter in a misty, bare winter forest.
